This is my third year teaching at Xavier after a lengthy amount of time working and studying abroad.
I am currently teaching Years 7,8 and 10 PDHPE and Year 9 Geography. I am also happy Richmond fan for the first time in a long time. Go Tiges!
National Science Week is an annual festival of science that takes place in August each year.
The celebration aims to raise the profile and increase the public understanding and public appreciation of science, innovation, engineering and technology, and their role in maintaining and improving our society, economy and environment.
Xavier High School celebrated National Science Week by running science competitions, quizzes and challenges that the students participated in individually or with their friends.
This week saw some fantastic results from Diocesan basketball.
Our Junior girls and Intermediate boys both walked with wins and are off to Sydney in Term 4. We wish them all the best.

We are looking forward to the new School Stream update being released on the Apple and Google Play Store next week.
Please check that you update the app when it’s released. You can even set your phone’s app updates to automatic. Here are the instructions for the Apple App Store (https://goo.gl/mvC9as) and the Google Play Store (https://goo.gl/XCgkL1).
To get the most out of the app features we do recommend creating an account so you can easily manage the content the school sends through.
To create an account, go to the side menu via the top-left corner and click on "Log-in". This is a quick and easy process that will require your first and last name, and a mobile number, email, or Facebook account authorisation.
Once you have created your account, you will be able to access all of the new app features which will be highlighted in the welcome video.

Could $500 help you with High School costs?
Parents have just spent their hard earned money on winter uniforms and winter sports fees and soon enough will be paying for summer registrations, or final payments on their school camps. Saver Plus is looking to assist those families that are eligible, and in turn your schools with the same out of pocket costs next year.

The circumstances of the Church in Australia in our time
including the patterns of change that are evident within the community of the church, the issues confronting the Church…the increase in entrusting responsibility for and leadership of the Church’s mission to laity, and even the changing face of the Episcopate prompt the church to review, analyse, and discern the signs of the times , to listen anew to the Spirit, and to chart its course into the future.
