Last week we celebrated Catholic Schools Week.
On Tuesday we recognised Shrove Tuesday with pancakes at school and on Wednesday staff and students participated in an Ash Wednesday Liturgy.
Thursday saw the launch of our Project Compassion project for 2022 and we concluded the celebrations on Friday by gathering in the 300 Quad for live music at lunch time.
Recently Charlie and Denise of the Lions Club of Lavington were onsite to present their Lions Club of Lavington Senior Bursary Award.
This award is presented to a conscientious student that has a high respect for both Teachers and Students.
Award winners for this year are Isaac Street and Lachie Carpenter.
For Catholic Schools Week we launched our very own Project Compassion, raising funds to help support Project Compassion, Caritas Australia’s annual fundraising campaign.
Project Compassion brings together supporters from across Australia to raise funds to address the challenges of poverty today, and drive lasting change for a better tomorrow.
Join Xavier to help support remote and vulnerable communities across Asia, Africa, the Pacific, the Middle East and in Australia. Your generosity today can help communities access clean water, food security, skills training, health and sanitation and disaster risk reduction training.
Together with your support, we can create lasting change For All Future Generations.

At Xavier High School we pride ourselves in offering students every opportunity to learn and grow as individuals, in their pursuit of academic excellence.
It is with this in mind that we have created the opportunity for students to attend a weekly Mathematics study session.
Where: School Library
When: Wednesday afternoons, beginning Week 4 of Term 1.
(Note: this will not run in the first or last week of each term.)
Time: 3:30 – 4:30pm
This free service is offered to all students who would like some extra support with basic skills, coursework, homework, exam technique and revision in the area of Mathematics.
The Xavier Collective is our award winning vocal ensemble. Being part of a vocal ensemble gives students the opportunity to build skills and confidence alongside like-minded peers across different Year levels.
This group fosters the skills required to become a great singer including vocal confidence, carrying harmonies, blending vocal tone and creatively interpreting music.
Students explore an exciting and diverse repertoire for various school and local performances as well as competitions. Vocalists of all levels and experiences are welcome to join, there is no cost to attend.
Rehearsals occur once a week over lunchtime with Mrs Anne Files.

Xavier High School Albury Class of 1992 - 30 Year Reunion
When: June 11, 2022 – 6pm – 11:30pm
Where: Beer Deluxe Albury – Crown Lounge Level 2
The first reunion was about seeing where some people were at, 10 years on in life. The 20-year reunion was about finding people who had moved on in life. Let’s make the 30-year reunion about bringing us all back together.
Join us to celebrate/commiserate or just forget that it’s been 30 years (some more than that) since we’ve all been together.
We would love for you to share this event with as many as you can so that we can come together again.
The price per person will be $50 and will include food in your belly, lucky door prizes and a drink on arrival.
Bank details will be provided in due course and a due date will be advised as well.
If all that doesn’t get you enthused, then maybe just the thought of seeing an old friend (or foe) to reminisce, will be enough to draw you to this auspicious event.
We would love to see you there, including those we can’t reach and come together to celebrate moments in time that we all shared. #1992
