AlburyCity | Retro Battle of the Bands

Congratulations to ELK for coming runners up in the first annual Retro Battle of the Bands held at the Retro Lane Cafe on May 18. ELK, a home grown Xavier band comprising of Jack Mitsch and James Worth with past students Nick Keogh, Luke Worth and Thomas White, performed their mix of folk, pop and soft rock to a highly appreciative audience.

 “These 5 mates share a strong love and passion for music. Since then ELK began to find their sound they have grown a strong fan base of not only friends and family, but other music lovers in the local community and are beginning to branch out playing abroad” - triplej Unearthed

As a local musical platform etro Battle of the Bands provides an important opportunity for young musicians to perform live for an audience, develop a following for their music, along with growing the local music scene. Retro Battle of the Bands is part of  AlburyCity’s Youth Programs.
