NAPLAN 2015

28 August 2015

The 2015 NAPLAN results for Xavier High School are very positive for our school community.

They have affirmed that our focus on putting learning first in every classroom from PE to English to TAS is making a difference. Our high expectations of our students and staff to focus on explicit teaching of skills in classrooms has had a positive impact.

We are very proud of our NAPLAN results in 2015. We are very pleased to announce the following results:

YEAR 9 NAPLAN
Above State and Diocesan averages in Reading and Writing. Our results are above National and Diocesan averages in Numeracy.

YEAR 7 NAPLAN
We are above State and Diocesan averages in Reading and Writing. Our results are above National and Diocesan averages in Numeracy.

Areas that we are still working towards improvement include Spelling and Grammar. We will continue to focus on building the literacy and numeracy skills of all of our students from Year 7 to Year 12 to ensure that our students are afforded the best opportunity for academic success.

Well done to the Xavier community! We will continue to grow our student and staff capabilities in our quest for continuous improvement on the path to academic excellence. At Xavier learning comes first for everyone!
