NESA Distinguished Achievers List

Xavier High School is pleased to announce that our 2017 HSC results reflect the changing focus of our academic culture.  Students have received Band 6 results across a broad range of subjects in 2017: Biology, Studies of Religion I, General Mathematics, CAFS, Senior Science, Design and Technology, Society and Culture, Music, and PD/Health/PE.

Strong results were also received in Advanced and Standard English, Extension English, Ancient History, Modern History, Visual Arts, and Studies of Religion II. The top ATAR for 2017 was 96.65 and achieved by Tiana Smerdon. We had several students achieve 90+ ATARs and results in the top 15% of the States cohort include Sally Wallace, Luke Worth, Tess McCormack, Brooke Cawthray, Eloise Suidgeest, and Jess Dwyer.
 
School Principal, Mr Gavin Dykes said, “Teaching and learning initiatives adopted in recent times have come to fruition with students being rewarded with outstanding results.”
 
Mrs Nicole Morton, Assistant Principal -Teaching and Learning said, “Our school community is incredibly proud of our HSC Class of 2017. This cohort has demonstrated a strong desire to achieve success in their studies. We are very proud of our dedicated teaching staff who strive every day to support our students to be their best selves”.
 
“The school is very proud of the courage, compassion, and commitment of our Year 12 students to their studies. We congratulate all students on their achievements and wish them well in their future endeavours,”  Mr Dykes said.
