Tribute - Sr Cabrini

15 November 2019

Our Xavier High School community extends sympathies to the Sisters of Mercy, friends and carers of Sister Cabrini Knott who passed away on November 13, her Feast Day.

Sr Cabrini was an outstanding example of the spirit of mercy alive in our Xavier High School community for many years, which she knew was “the essence of the Gospel and the key to the Christian life”. Her contribution to the life of our school will never be forgotten, especially the incredible work she did behind the scenes in the administration of Catholic Education in Albury. She brought joy and support in her years at Xavier as the editor of the Exchange, a newsletter to past students, which was always received with delight and excitement. In her work at Xavier, Sr Cabrini was constantly aware of her vocation to raise up, enable, encourage and to give new hope so that the students could reach maturity knowing the support of a loving God because they had experienced it here at Xavier. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion and generosity of spirit.  Sr Cabrini was a great inspiration and source of wisdom to everyone at Xavier High School.

May she rest in peace.
